of Justice
The Galleries of Justice, situated in Nottingham's Lace Market, explores three centuries of crime and punishment and portrays the lives, trials and executions of some of the country's least fortunate criminals. Visitors experience a real trial in the authentic Victorian courtroom before being sentenced and shown down to the cells which lie in a cave system deep below the court building.
Newark
Air Museum
A real treat for the aircraft enthusiast, Newark Air Museum's site adjoining the county showground is home to over sixty aircraft from all corners of the world and the country's largest volunteer run aviation museum. The museum also includes exhibitions of airforce related memorabilia and displays relating to aircraft development and construction.

Horological Institute
The British Horological Institute occupies Upton Hall, a grand country house a few miles from Southwell. The museum contains an unrivalled collection of clocks and watches which span the centuries from the golden age of horology to the present day. Please note that during 2005 the museum is only accessible for group visits and British Horological Institute members.

Vina
Cooke Museum Of Dolls
The Vina Cooke Museum of Dolls and Bygone Childhood is based at The Old Rectory, Cromwell, just off the A1 north of Newark. The Museum houses a large collection of dolls dating from the eighteenth to the twenty-first centuries, together with other childhood related artifacts. The collection includes toys, prams, dolls' houses, books, games, railway models, christening robes, children's and adults' costumes and is a real nostalgia trip for anyone with an interest in the childhood toys of yesteryear. There are also handmade dolls, crafts and gifts for sale and there is a Dolls' Hospital, where you can leave your treasured doll for respite care and repair.

Dovecote
Tucked away up an incongruous looking side street in the centre of Wollaton village is a a most unusual find, a seventeenth century dovecote which has been lovingly restored by local efforts both to provide a display space and to preserve the original building for future generations to enjoy.

Holocaust Centre, Beth Shalom
Beth Shalom, opened in 1995, was England's first dedicated Holocaust Memorial and Education Centre. Located on the edge of Sherwood Forest in North Nottinghamshire and situated in over 2 acres of grounds, the centre is a tranquil place where visitors of all ages can explore the history and implications of the Holocaust.
Creswell
Crags
Creswell Crags has been hitting the headlines recently, following the discovery of Ice Age cave paintings at this internationally important archaeological site which spans the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border. Earlier finds of stone tool and remains of animals by archaeologists provides evidence for a fascinating story of life during the last Ice Age between 50,000 and 10,000 years ago. The Museum explains the archaeological significance of the Creswell Crags area.
